One of the many reasons why a lot of our guests return to Tyrol time and time again is probably also due to the fantastic regional dishes to be enjoyed here. To give you an idea of the delicious dishes awaiting you on your holiday in Tyrol, we have put together a selected number of Tyrolean dishes we are sure you will soon fall in love with.

While you are on holiday in Tyrol, you can enjoy traditional Tyrolean meals in alpine huts, inns, or restaurants and we recommend all with the seal of quality "Tiroler Wirtshaus". This award is only given to restaurants serving traditional Tyrolean meals using the traditional recipes, regional produce from local farmers, and a high quality dining experience. Great food is not the only thing which is important at a true "Wirtshaus" as it is just as important to be greeted with true Tyrolean hospitality and a friendly atmosphere.

The snack is typically served on a wooden plate and includes delicious specialities such as Speck (smoked bacon), cheese, Kaminwurzen (smoked sausages), lard, horseradish, and farmer's bread.
