Spend a delightful holiday in the Stubai and enjoy activities and relaxation in this beautiful alpine setting. The villages in Stubai, Fulpmes, Mieders, Neustift, Schönberg and Telfes, all charm their visitors at more than 1,000 metres above sea-level ensuring fantastic air-quality, especially for all allergy sufferers. The Stubai valley is renowned as an active destination throughout all seasons, stretching from the Wipptal valley all the way to the majestic glacier at the end of the Stubai valley. The capital city of Tyrol, Innsbruck, is only 10 kilometres from the entrance of the valley, which is hard to tell while enjoying the tranquillity of nature on the Stubai glacier.

The first holiday villages in the valley are Schönberg and Mieder, two charming villages at the foot of the Serles mountain. The famous poet Goethe referenced this impressive mountain peak as the "High Altar of Tyrol". The river Ruetz flows through lush green landscapes and the further into the valley you travel, the higher the majestic mountain peaks become. The highest peak is called Zuckerhütl and is measured at 3,507 meters above sea-level and the Stubai Alps also have 20 glaciers. The next town as you travel into the valley is Telfes, which established itself centuries ago by producing metal and developing excellent blacksmiths. This rich history in craftsmanship is still prevelant in the town today, with many farmhouses and buildings showing characteristic details. Fulpmes is situated in the middle of the Stubaital valley and is known as a delightful family-friendly town and the home of the famous Austrian ski jumper Gregor Schlierenzauer. Approximately 4 kilometres further into the valley the lovely town of Neustift offers another welcoming destination for guests of the Stubaital valley. The town's church is easily recognisable from a distance and the municipality includes the Unterberg- and Oberberg valleys, stretching all the way to the glacier region.

During winter, the snow guarantee due to the location close to the central Alps and the high elevation ensure a big smile on every winter sports enthusiast's face. The four excellent ski resorts ensure a fantastic day of skiing or snowboarding. The Stubai Glacier ski resort is possibly the most famous of the ski resorts in Stubai, for many reasons, but the most important reason may be it being the largest glacier in all of Austria. The ski areas Schlick 2000, Elferbahnen and Serlesbahnen lifts offer perfectly groomed slopes and fantastic days of skiing or snowboarding in this delightful valley. Cross-country skiers can enjoy the 62 kilometres of prepared tracks leading through the magical winter landscape. The cross-country ski tracks are available at different elevations, and with the high-alpine track up the mountain, the Stubai valley can offer a snow guarantee for cross-country skiers as well. For further excitement during the winter, snow-shoe hikes, ski mountaineering, and tobogganing ensure a fantastic day in the snow and fresh air of the Stubaital valley.

In the wonderful months of summer the Stubai Höhenweg, or Stubai high-alpine route, excites hikers and mountaineers with delightful hikes up to 3,000 metres above sea-level. The route leads through green meadows, past waterfalls, crystal-clear lakes, and all the way to icy glaciers. The Stubai valley offers guests exploring the mountains eight Alpinist Association's huts, snack stations, and themed walks such as the "Franz-Senn-Path" or the "WildWaterPath", which leads to the beautiful Grawa-waterfall. The "Elfer" or the "Elfer North Face" pose a challenge for all mountaineers keen to conquer the via ferrata and marvel at the spectacular views across the valley all the way to Innsbruck. Another highlight for all hikers, mountaineers, and climbers are the Kalkögeln, also known as the "Dolomites of North Tyrol".

For a change of pace, the interesting museums in Neustift and Fulpmes offer fantastic alternatives. In Telfes visitors can enjoy the amazing birds of prey park and see these majestic birds soar through the sky.
