Nestled within spectacular mountains, between the nature conservation area Karwendel, the Wettersteingebirge mountain range, and the conservation area Wildmoos, the delightful town of Seefeld is situated on a spectacular sunny plateau. All cross-country skiers can explore the 279 kilometres of perfectly groomed tracks, which have been awarded by the ADAC multiple times for their excellence. The slopes are suited for classic skiers as well as skating-style skiers and offer different routes at various levels of difficulty making this Olympic region a true paradise for all cross-country skiers.

Seefeld has been the host to the Olympic games twice, as the Nordic disciplines of the winter Olympic games of 1964 and 1976 in Innsbruck where held on the Seefeld plateau due to the excellent conditions. In addition, a world-championship and multiple world-cup events have been carried out here as well. For all alpine skiers and snowboarders, the 48 kilometres of perfectly groomed slopes with approximately 30 modern lifts ensure fantastic days up the mountains. The mountain lifts Bergbahnen Rosshütte, Gschwandtkopf- ski resort, ski area Hochmoos, Bergbahn Kreithlift Leutaschunterwegs, as well as the lifts more suitable for all novice skiers and snowboarders such as the tow bar lifts at the Geigenbühel and Birkenlift, the practice lift Hinterfeld (Mösern) and the tow bar lift in Neuleutasch, Brandlift in Scharnitz offer a variety of options for guests. For all guests interested to explore the delightful winter landscape, 140 kilometres of cleared winter hiking paths allow wonderful walks in this lovely setting. For a change of pace, snow-shoe hikes are an exciting alternative, as well as ice-skating on one of the three ice skating rinks, and an adventure for guests of all ages is ensured on the 5 thrilling toboggan tracks.

The region of Seefeld is an absolute gem during summer as well. All sports enthusiasts can enjoy the seemingly endless opportunities to explore the picturesque mountains, and all guests hoping for a relaxed holiday can take advantage of the many wellness options here in Seefeld's magnificently calming nature. Hundreds of kilometres of mountain bike and hiking paths offer adventurous guests the possibility to explore various interesting valleys, fields, forests and mountains. Special highlights of nature are always the picturesque lakes. Enjoy the lovely 3-lake hike which is also suitable as a delightful family hike. The lakes are ideal for a refreshing dip after a wonderful walk. The three lakes are the Möserer See, Lottensee and Wildmoos-lake. For a hike which takes you back in time, the hike to the castle-ruin Fragenstein near Zirl offers an especially adventurous day out for all fans of castles and knights. The way back leads through the Schlossbach-gorge, which also passes underneath the impressive bridge of the Karwendelbahn lift. For a relaxed pace while exploring this beautiful region, there are 90 E-bikes available for rent at approximately 20 rental stations throughout the region of Seefeld. The fantastic golf-course in Seefeld-Wildmoos or Seefeld-Reith offer 18-holes of pure golfing bliss in a spectacular alpine setting. Another brilliant way to get to know your surroundings is on the back of a horse. In Seefeld riders can take some time to meet new friends and go for an exciting ride in a new setting.
